Why is the doctors always so quick to give us pill's instead of finding out what is at the bottom, The government supports this as there is just not enough funding for mental health people

this is true and i guess people power is what will push things int he right direction, it means putting into motion a plan of action in order to get the government and community to pay attention to a given communities needs. to get funding it is a competitive market these days for community organizations and government based organizations are hospitalization efforts and basic access to counseling services if they are sought out. the problem may be be that mentally ill people are not equipped to seek out help or do not have the trusted supports that will guide them in the right direction. people often go undetected and misjudged until its too late. holistic health is ideal and involves a whole community acting on the health of the community they live in, breaking down stigma and discrimination of mental health issues and creating a community of trust and support

Hi, I've just posted a topic on mental health triage and availability of health care professionals. Too many people lack understanding of mental illness and that medication isn't always the answer. Most mental health patients who are on medication also require counselling of some kind.
I have had bad experiences with judgement and lack of care available.
