Discontinued Olympic Events/New Events?

Note: I accidentally put this under the arts sectiion so I'm pasting it here under sports and recreation as I think this is where it should be!?!

I've been looking on the internet at a site that lists discontinued Olympic Events. It's fascinating to discover that tug-of-war, underwater swimming and the swimming obstacle race was once a part of the Olympic Program.

I'd love to see a return of some of these more creative events. What would you like to see as part of the Olympic program? Darts might be interesting or maybe the egg and spoon race! I'd love to see some funny events as well as the more serious ones.
