I don't believe newstart allowance is high enough for people to live on, especially taking into account the cost of living, rent for example is very expensive not to mention petrol, utilities and food increases. To actively seek work costs money, telephone expensense, running a car in a lot of cases, and even grooming and clothing costs in order to make a good impression on an employer are considerable, I for one think there should be a significant increase to newstart allowance!
