My daughter and her husband have just had a baby son who is only three weeks old but they are having problems with him feeding and sleeping....he takes ages to settle down at night but then wakes up every couple of hours and wants to be fed again only to throw it all up....He is also constantly wetting the bedding and having his nappy changed. Has anybody got any tips that I could pass on to her as the baby's demands and unpredictable behaviour are wearing out both her and her husband?....Any hints would be very welcome

go to the doctors!
if a baby is constantly throwing up then it is not getting enough nutrition and other things can go seriously wrong!
it is so obvious, anything else is abuse

I had twin girls who both had reflux - but they were different....one would throw everything up & the other just wanted to feed all the time as it stop the pain for the acid. Your daughter might need to get her son checked for this as if he does have that, the Dr should give you a prescription to go & get a liquid medicine to help with it. They generally grow out of reflux once their oesophagus muscles have strengthened. Floor work helps with this – having the baby on their stomach…but it just takes time. After every my girls used it up until 7-8mths…then they were fine.
It could also be baby diabetes - Symptoms of diabetes in babies include excessive drinking (polydipsia), excessive urination (polyuria), and weight loss while eating normally. The slow healing of sores may be present, along with itchy and dry skin. Blurry eyesight in your baby may not be immediately obvious, however, your baby may display symptoms of fatigue and hunger. In some babies suspected of having diabetes, a dark, velvety rash may be present on the neck. Tingling in the feet may also be a symptom. Simple blood and urine tests will determine your baby's diabetes diagnosis. These tests are fairly fast and you should get results between a few minutes and a few days.
It’s best if she talks to her Dr/ paediatrician about these sort of things & see what the Dr says…..hope this helps.

Thanks for that Shelley..I'll pass it on to my daughter as it does sound very like the symptons her son has
