Can you see K RUDD sitting quietly on the back bench for long?? I wonder if he is not sitting there thinking what more he can do to destabalise Julia and her wobbly government! Whoever she puts into the Foreign Affairs position will be no K RUDD. I'm no fan of Rudd, but yu got to admit he is good for a Cafestudy topic!!

I think this is a strategy by Kevin Rudd, he never goes away, he haunts Julia Gillard, he can cause a lot of unrest on the back bench. He will sit, smirk. observe, and wait for an opportunity to unsettle the PM. GO KR!

Rudd will continue to cause tension amongst his party by quietly challenging Gillard & just his being there will cause tension but in my opinion they are both finished in leadership. Rudd seems to be more popular amongst labor followers & Gillard has to be the most hated PM in history but neither have leadership skills to use.
Rudd should have stayed as Foreign Minister & challenged Gillard when it got closer to an election. As Labor stands right now they are in turmoil with continual back stabbing & fighting amongst them. This has signed the death sentence on them come election time unless they can find someone else to lead them but I still think they will lose due to the Carbon Tax introduction this year & the damage it is doing to our manufacturing industry.
Other countries are shaking their head in confusion about the recent events & reshuffling of cabinet, they are also expressing concern over the changes & problems it has brought.
If Labor does not get their act together then hopefully we can bring about an early election.

Hi ninna, I remember the 80's well and the terrible state this country was in. It took years for us to come out of debt and here we go again. Labor just can't get the finances right - they just spend and spend and give away to foreign countries whilst forgetting our own sick, jobless and homeless. The debarkle over the asylum seekers and the amount of money that is being spent is scary. This government has wasted more money on things like pink bats, school halls, NBN, petrol watch and grocery watch that beggers belief. Not to mention paying Professor Flannery a very high salary to scare us into thinking rain would never fall again and the reservoirs would never fill! (where is he hiding since the rains came?) The experts (I use the term lightly) that this government has consulted have been WRONG in every sense of the word. Why do they listen to the "experts" who get it wrong when common sense is all that is needed. Then ofcourse we have Bob Brown with his weird ideas and unrealistic policies. Oh what will Australia be like when my tiny grandsons grow up??

I still remember when they had power in the 1980's & the damage they did to our country back then, the economy was out of control & the only way they know how to try & control it is to create new taxes. We saw interest rates hit 17% & higher after they deregulated the banks, the banks are now using that freedom again to raise rates, change conditions & fees. I saw families with children & babies tossed out onto the street when they lost their homes. So many houses for sale with so few buyers meant the debt was hardly covered by the sale. My husband worked 7 days/week while I could only get 5 days a week just so we could hold onto our home, we put off children for many years while we struggled financially.
What we are seeing now is typical of Labor when they get in but I doubt the voters will fall for the same lies & spin come the next election. They lost my vote in the 80's when I was a devoted Labor supporter, the 17% interest rates was the deal breaker for me then & I imagine the Carbon Tax & high unemployment is going to sway many Labor voters across to other parties. I just hope next time we get a proper govt instead of a hung parliment like now where ther faceless men are running the show.

Hi ninna I think you are right about Labor being finished - they have been a wasteful government and this nation will pay the price for their spending and the mistakes they have made by enforcing their socialist ideas on the rest of us. I am with you when you say hopefully there could be an early election. If they stay for the full term, they will just put us further in debt. We certainly have looked like clowns by the action over the leadership. The rest of the world would be having a laugh.

I am a fan of K Rudd, and I have to agree, he does make a good topic here. I also think that Julia bought a lot of this on herself. I can't see him sitting too quietly on the backbench, but whatever happens, I think Julia is an idiot who deserves whatever comes to her.

Though I did not vote for K Rudd, I agree whole heartedly with your comment, and I too am now a fan of his also, but not of the Labor Party. I have to say though that I don't really want to vote...

I agree with you. I am not a fan of Juliar as I think she has misled us over everything that comes out of her mouth. I prefer K Rudd. I am also not a labor voter but am not sure about Tony Abbott either. Dilemnas! Maybe he should start his own party as he will probably get a lot of voters onside that way.

Maybe K Rudd should start his own party, that would shake things up!

Tempest25 Hi, I agree K Rudd make an interesting topic and to be honest I can hardly wait for the next episode! Julia sure did the dirty on him when she denied she was after his job and I think he will get his revenge some how. Her cabinet is now "loaded" with union heavyweights and I can't see them being able to sucessfully govern this country for much longer. They are so far to the left I'm surprised they can stand upright. Kevin was not a union man and they were out to get him from day one. I am not a fan of Kevin, but I do believe he should have been allowed to see out his time as PM. Julia wanted to be PM at any cost and has in fact done the whole country an injustice. She was NOT elected nor were her hench men. Is it within Kevin's power to bring Julia and the whole lot down - I wonder if he will??

Hi littlefoot! I agree KRudd is like a bad nightmare, he will keep on haunting a certain red haired. She did him wrong and he has a personality that won't let that go. If he doesn't pull some kind of stunt I will be very surprised. I will watch with interest for the next move!!
