I hate it when I go to select a toothpaste from the supermarket, theres so many different Colgate toothpastes to choose from! I always get alittle frustrated as to which one to chose...which is the best?? Is there really so much difference between them? Which one is the best one in your opinion that you would recommend to others??

To be honest, when i buy colgate i get which ever is on special. I feel Colgate is definitely the best brand but I doubt that the cheapest colgate paste and the most expensive of their pastes really have much difference. they all do the same thing in the mouth right?

hi ,i am shannu.i am using Colgate for so many years. In the market Colgate is available with different uses.do your selection depend upon purpose of your usage.now i am using Colgate maximum cavity protection.it is working good on my teeth.and before buying Colgate from store, first you have to check the ,name spelling, molecules, and language of the sentences on the Colgate tube.because now a days many duplicate pastes with similar packing, and naming are coming in the market.we have to check, and select carefully.if you need freshness then take Colgate 12 hours fresh, otherwise if you want cavity protection then take maximum cavity protection.if you want cool use menthol flavor . the choice is completely yours.

After reading all the comments about which toothpaste to buy I am wondering have any of you checked out how many chemicals there are in toothpaste and just what they do to your health? In the USA tootpaste has a warning label which reads "if swallowed seek medical attention"! Chemicals in toothpaste are absorbed directly into the blood stream via the gums so using toothpaste with chemicals is in fact a health hazard. Buy your toothpaste from a health food store and do some research. Mouth wash is another big NO NO if you are health minded. There are so many man made chemicals in so many products that we use, they are causing problems in children as they are more suceptible to the chemicals. Do you know that baby products made by Johnson and Johnson are now fitted with a child proof caps? Do look into products that you use particularly what you use on your babies and children. Oh dont use talc powder either. Stay healthy by using less chemicals which are in most shampoos, cosmetics and skin care products Since I stopped using products that are loaded with chemicals (over ten years now) I am healthy and certainly feel well. People comment on my skin (senior as it is) and I am possitive it is because of what I use.

Thankyou for your reply! I know that toothpaste contains fluoride which was used for bad means in the past.....thus I never swallow it and always rinse out! I will check out whats in products I...

Hi Catlover13 I suggest you do some research and I think if you go to Neways International web page you will get a lot of information regarding what additives are not in their products and what the benefits are using chemical free products.. I have been using products from this wellness company for over 10 years and I can honestly tell you since taking chemicals out of my system has been such a blessing healthwise. I am in my 60s, my skin is clear and soft, my hair is shiny and I never suffer with dandruff etc. I only use their toothpaste which is safe to swallow (not recommended as a regular habit!) and my teeth are clean, no placque and in good condition. Very good for children particularly as they first start learning to clean their teeth. I use only make up that is chemical free, shower in a soapless gel and I can tell you I am squeaky clean and so is my shower screen. Taking Sodium Laurel Sulphate out of your bathroom makes a major difference to your health. Most shampoos, shower gels are made from the same petroleum based product, they add perfumes etc. to make them "nice" for humans to use?
You may have something there about chemicals being used to control population they certainly are made by very powerful companies. Governments world wide are well aware of the dangers, but do nothing about them. Keep preservatives out of your diet and colours (give up smarties and tim tams!) - eating fresh and as process free as you can. They say if you shop the perimeter of the supermarket (where the fresh food is) you are more likely to stay healthy.

I will check out whats in products I use and buy.....but buying only from the health food store can be quite expensive....as for mouth wash we have never used it! I recently read that mouth wash causes cancer......I know this is moving away from the topic but I believe in the New World Order and this chemical thing is used to control the population. I've always used Colgate and love the 12 hour protection Total. But now there are different varieties of even that toothpaste. Because I live on my own and buy the big tube it lasts me ages. You'd think using it everyday I'd recognise the tube easily but not so. My last purchase was Colgate Total but it was blue instead of white and doesn't taste the same. I hate it but cant bring myself to throw it out (it is a bit expensive) and try to get the right one again.

Hi Catlover13,

I used to be a Dental Assistant before having children. All the dentists that I know of and also reps in the dental industry will happily recommend Colgate Total as it by far provides a 12 hour protection. I also spoke to a hygienist about the use of toothpastes that claim to whiten your teeth - she went on to say that if they are that abrasive to whiten your teeth, think of all the other damage that it is doing to your teeth.
