I have one of those little yappy little things that annoy people. She is a chiuhauha . Never yapped at all till a bull terrier grabbed her,she was tied up at a camp-site.Luckily she escaped with a bruised neck and a fright. Now she tries to attack any dog, especially black ones like that bully. We hope people will be more responsible with their dogs and please keep them on the lead when other dogs / people are around.

I can't stand Little dogs, not all of them just those little vicious ones that bark at you and try bite you! Even the little fluff balls that don't do that, I always feel like i'm going to squish them!!
Staffys all the way :)

I dont hate any dogs, but I dislike most of the smaller breeds.
My MIL has a maltese that snaps at anyone who goes near MIL. She also has a jack russell, who jumps on my kids and nips at their faces, or nips at adults ankles. We were looking after a friends foxy when it bit my son on the cheek. I had a friend who owned 2 chihuahuas who nipped at anyone who got close. There is a yappy little fluffball around the block from me who nips at my Amstaff's legs everytime we walk past - luckily my Amstaff ignores it while I make it piss off, however if my Amstaff did retaliate, I can pretty much guarantee you that my Amstaff would have to be put down and i would be charged, even though she would just be protecting herself.
Pretty much, all those dogs seem to have 'small dog syndrome', where they attack simply to make themselves seem bigger and tougher than they actually are.
Big dogs on the other hand - I'm yet to meet a nasty one (obviously I know they do exist), but I own an Amstaff, and in the past have had a Rotti, an English Staffy, and a German Shepherd - all of which were great big sooks, who loved my kids, loved cuddles, loved other animals, and never 'snapped' or 'nipped' at anyone.

the kind of dog i really detest are the dead one's,they wont come when you call them, they stink something bad,and don't try to take one for a walk, other dogs love them, they roll over them for their doggy scent.on a bright note, they dont chase cats, bite or growl, the posties still avoid them but then posties are a strange lot anyhow.but dogs are smart, ask a dog about the state of our roads, the say ruff.ask the what stops the rain getting into yore home, they say roof, and let us see a cat chase its own tail.

no dogs are bad its just people who don't like them and start throwing things at them so the dog gets angery just like people

I love all dogs - big and small. I have 2 small dogs and never expected to have anything but a large dog but I love my 2 to bits. A dogs personality has a lot to do with the owners and how they are treated & trained.

I agree with those who have said it's not the dogs it is the owners way of raising them but I can say though we have never had a dog that we have had any problems with until we got the dog we have now..
A friend gave him to us when he was only a small pup and is now very aggressive towards me, but me only. He is a big sook to the rest of the family which is odd as I was the one who fed and looked after him the same way I did with all the others I had previously owned.
I do have one dog I dislike imensily which is the cattle dog. Some can be good but they always have that aggressive background and are only loyal to their owners and can be unpredictable. When I was a child I used to play with my Uncle's cattle dogs while they were passing through to go back out to the station and one morning I went out and one tried to attack me as I walked past, he chain was just the right length!

I hate any of those breeds of dogs who constantly have drool coming out of their mouths. I also dislike those nasty little yappy dogs.

the owners off the dog should be held count able and if it bites a person or another dog they should be put down

Probably thought it was lunch.

Seriously though I'd like you to elaborate on your generalization?

How are they unpredictable.

I have owned several Rottiellers over about 20 years and have had no problems with them at all apart from an 18 month old bitch that I adopted from the pound and she turned really nasty Would have liked to have known her background because I believe she must have had an abusive owner because no end of work with her seemed to make things better. We had to have her put down
