Hi everyone..

Just wondering if anyone had any tips on not so expensive wedding outfits for the mother of the bride.......I will shortly be needing to buy something and just wondered if anyone knew of somewhere online that sold outfits for a little bit less expensive that the normal price?

Hi i think ebay would be the go you could get your whole outfit on there, i know myself i use to buy an expensive outfit to wear and would only wear it once and then it sat in the cupboard .So recently i brought the whole outfit-bag, shoes and dress for under $30 dress had only been worn once looked brandnew no one had any idea and got plenty of compliments. Its so easy as you dont have to leave your house.

Whenever I need something for a special
Occasion I always go to my local second hand
Clothes store like vinnies or Sammy's . Apart
From being really inexpensive you can try the
Clothes on for a perfect fit and of course your
Helping a charity . And if your worried someone
Will know they will only find out if you tell them.
Most people I find are impressed with your awesome find

Hi, My sister recently married and she found the most beautiful gown at her local opportunity shop. We searched out a few different places and there were quite a few to choose from. We had it dry cleaned and it was like brand new. Best of luck from Wowi.

Hi Nefertari,
Have a look online - www.asos.com has some good cheap ones (free shipping too - and free to return if the size is wrong or you don't like it) or looks at www.jjshouse.com (you can get set sizes, 8, 10 etc or put your own measurements in and they custom make it for $20NZ extra)
Both are very good and unique!! Hope that's of some help :)

Hi Everyone..... I was able (after taking on board a few tips I received from other readers) to buy a lovely little outfit for the wedding that was not too expensive at all.
At the wedding held last Saturday, the bride looked beautiful and her mother (thanks to your helpful advice ) did not look too shabby either!
So thanks everyone for helping make it a wonderful day!

I have found some very lovely dresses in op shops. Sometimes they are only worn once! Not only is there a varied selection, it would be almost impossible for someone else to have the same outfit.

Hi,
I have been mother of the bride three times and have had good luck finding outfits at smaller boutiques and one time at David Jones sale where I got a lovely Trent Nathan soft skirt and matching top. Then I sold one of the outfits through a second hand shop called The Great Mistake at Chatswood, Sydney - which is another thought. You could easily find an interesting outfit there at a good price. Best wishes for the wedding.

My friend is having a wedding soon and I have been on the lookout for not so expensive dresses too... most of the cheap dresses are online and can be custom made to your size.
These are some of the links that I have come across so far and recommend.

Or maybe try the departmental stores. MYER, David Jones, you never know what you can find there...

Good luck with the dress finding :)

My daughter the Diva Princess Bride is choosing my outfit and my husbands suit. Although I will get to have final approval.
As it is her special day we are going along with whatever she decides. Although she has mentioned designer outlet stores in the city and I know from past experiences you can sometimes pick up a real bargain.
