Something I absolutely hate while driving. There is no reason for it and it is very dangerous. Vicroads teaches to leave a 2 second gap from the car in front, but who can estimate 2 seconds while driving at 100km/hr? It is much better to use a rule of thumb which is 1 car length for every 10km/hr of speed, plus 50% more if the road is wet.

you can always grab the licence plate and report them to the local police
or if like some people i know stop the car and hop out and ask would you like to park in my boot
but legally all you need is the advice given
i have done it but try and avoid the situation as was always in a hurry to get places till i rote of a torana at a 110kms an hour lucky no one was hurt this act took place at a round about and i won but lost
