What makes your home a home?

A recent study released by IKEA revealed that homes don't always feel like home, and some people reported feeling more at home in their cars. Does your home feel like home? What makes it like that? And if you don't feel at home there, why not? Where do you feel most at home?

Liz23 says: I recently moved back in with my parents into my childhood bedroom. It partially feels like home because I spent my formative years there, but I also miss having my own space and furniture. I felt more at home in my own apartment because I could come and go whenever I wanted, decorate however I please and invite anyone over at any time. What makes a house a home for me is having the freedom to do what I want; it's much harder to do that when you're living with 4 other people and you need to be respectful of their needs and the fact that they share this space too.
