Has globalisation done more harm than good?

Simple answer..YES.

Corporate greed is what drives globalisation in my opinion, just take a look at how many other brands/companies worldwide are own by the likes of Coca Cola, Mars, Nestle or Pepsi.
As a keen sci-fi fan I see this a only leading to the popular theme of a One World government owned by corporations. That thought makes ponder that most governments are already populated by people with links or debts to large corporations.
I am just glad that I am old enough to have grown up and lived in a much simpler time and wont be around to see the coming mess, maybe George Orwell was just a little premature with his date?
