Also people given free cars probably may not maintain and have them serviced as they should so they could become just as dangerous. If they do that they will probably give them to refugees looking for work looking for employment too. It will probably spread to other categories of Centrelink clients. Parents with disabled children who are wheelchair bound or have to have specially built booster seats for their specially equiped vehicles should be given more assistance too.
Having a relative involved in mechanical work and a friends who run body repair shops, I have seen more than my share of accident damaged vehicles. The results of injuries and deaths have been as high in the newer cars as the old ones because of parts crumpling in too far. A lot more are literally written off in accidents than used to be. The structual bars are thinner than they used to be and bend or break more readily than they used to.
