Some home brands like Woolworths individual packets of porridge in assorted flavours, I was surprised thought I would try them for a change as the Uncle Toby's was a lot dearer and I wanted a change in flavours, I found the home brand in porridge was very nice, because I cook porridge just for myself, hubby normally has eggs for breakfast; when the kids were small I would buy the named brands good old fashioned porridge that you cooked in a saucepan on the stove, nowadays the small package for one in the microwave is very nice indeed. It takes me 2 to 3 hours to shop in Woolworths (or Coles) because I read all the labels, try to buy Australian produce but that is not always possible, "packed in Australia from Australian and imported produce'' really puts the wind up me, everything nowadays is Money, Money, not happy with millions they want billions. Take me back to the good old days 50 years ago when one knew what you bought, were it came from and where it was manufactured, nowadays with a lot of things they say made in NZ but they don't mention that it came from China first, only packed in NZ, false advertising and I will not buy frozen vegies or any food from China. What happened to the good old days of Aussie foods?
