Edinburgh, Scotland. My friend decided to go there and work for a year and loved it so much that she is still there 10 years later. The stories she tells of all the things she sees and experiences in a normal working week are so interesting and being so close to other countries she's been able to travel to so many different countries. When she tells of 'just popping over to France for the weekend' it seems amazing for someone like me who lives in Perth.
