Hi everyone! I haven't replied to this for awhile but was happy to see that you are all keeping it going. I am still travelling by tram here in Adelaide and if anything conversation has stepped up! We no longer have conductors on our trams (which is a shame) but now have this ticket machine which is quite complicated to use. When it first came in there were Tramway people showing us how to use them. Now they have been in for awhile there no longer is someone there to help, so people (particularly visitors) are having to ask other passengers how to use it. It is really heartening to see how heplful people are to each other. Conversation is at full gear with most people discussing the ticket machine!!
New technology certainly has its place and I thank Adelaide Metro for moving toward a 'conductor free' tram way? Passengers are chatting away.
