I read on the RAA website newsletter, that from July 1st, there will no longer the option for 9 or 6 months...
They are only keeping 3 & 12 months! Gee as if people are not doing it stuff, I'm glad they didn't take the 3 month option, as that would bugger me right up, It's hard enough keeping a car on the road as it is!
With that I guess they will put up the registration in the June budget!
whats's next?
cheers for taking the time to read this

To the best of my knowledge they have already stopped sending out stickers. In some cases they aren't sending accounts either. The onus is on the owner to remember or keep a record of when it is due. If you are driving somebody else's car, you are the one that gets fined if driving an unregistered vehicle (don't forget it also has no 3rd Party Compulsory Insurance then). The Police will possibly put the vehicle in storage too. If you are driving without a licence you could very easily get caught by the Police too. They can key in the Rego. details on their in-car computer and it shows the registered owner and whether or not the person has a current or suspended license. They definitely confiscate your car and put it into storage. You don't get a choice of Towing Operator. Some of them I wouldn't allow to tow a wreck.
Help Caféstudy members by responding to their questions, or ask your own in Café Chat, and you will get the chance of earning extra rewards. Caféstudy will match these and donate equally to our two chosen Australian charities.
